The room
Craft-Bilt Materials Ltd. sells aluminum sunroom systems to Canadian dealers. Basswood Inc. specifies the unit with the outdoor room — the existing deck or a new pad, the ledger, the snow load, and the railing that meets it.
These are custom rooms. Unlike a pre-sized kit, Betterliving and Grand Vista are built to the house: exact dimensions, roof choice, frame colour, and door layout. Most rooms sold in Canada are three-season. All-season (four-season) rooms are fully insulated for year-round use.
Craft-Bilt publishes a typical 12×12 three-season starting around $25,000, excluding deck and permits. We quote the set on your site. The pad, electrical, and Vista railing are not buried in that number.
Betterliving
Called the Cadillac of the Canadian sunroom trade — thicker wall extrusions, mylar-reinforced weatherstripping, insulated aluminum or translucent solarium roofs. Three-season and all-season. Sold and installed through local contractors, not as a weekend DIY.
Grand Vista
Custom-built in Ajax and engineered for Canadian snow load and wind. Three-season and insulated four-season. Concave tracks that cradle the weatherstripping. Unique mill details at a comparable wall thickness to the rest of the book.
4-track stacking windows
Panels stack fully open for ventilation and close for bugs and rain. Custom sizes — Craft-Bilt lists up to 120 inches tall and 240 inches wide. The same glazing used to close in a patio cover later.
Screen & porch
Vista screen rooms, porch enclosures, balcony enclosures, and retractable screens. Aluminum frames sized to the deck. Fresh air, light, and a stop for insects, wind, and rain.

Grand Vista three-season DIY kits are on the cart at Craft-Bilt’s published kit prices, from the 10×10 at $19,500. The Northlander Skyview low-profile 12×12 cover kit is $2,622. An installed room, a heavier snow load, PanelCraft structural covers, Betterliving awnings, and Vista railings are still quoted — those do not have a single published unit price.
